The night was enjoyed by all, nice to see the return of some old faces (and we mean that in the kindest way). Although some people obviously thought the night ended too soon, and venued into the disco. Whilst others thought the fresh air would be nice... with a walk home, thats if they remembered where they lived...... (Names have been withheld)
Held on Friday 20th October 2006 - 7.30pm
All members were invited to attend, and a big thank you to those who made the effort to turn up or offer their apologies. (Apparently there was something on that night, that was a little too enticing for some of the quieter Montrose lads to pass on.)
On that note, we offer our best wishes to Henry Van Dinther & his bride as they head down the aisle. It was good to hear from a reliable source that the Monty boys were very well behaved - and least thats what they told me.

After probably the quickist AGM, all positions were filled with the addition of some very experienced previous Committee members. Official duties over, we settled down to more interesting things ....... I'm not saying what. You had to be there!!!!

media release... $250,000 Upgrade
On Thursday 26th October, 2006 Liberal candidate for Kilsyth, David Hodgett was joined by Shadow Minister for Sport & Recreation, Bruce Atkinson at the home of Montrose Soccer Club.
They announced to the crowd that under a Baillieu Liberal Government $250,000 has been committed to upgrade the playing surface of Keith Hume Fraser Reserve in Montrose.
Mr Atkinson said David Hodgett was committed to fighting for the best facilities and standards in the Yarra Ranges and had fought hard to secure funding for this project.
Dympna Beard MP - State Member for Kilsyth has also spoken to Alan Symons (Montrose President), and expressed a view that the Bracks Government would also be interested in assisting us. No official announcements or committments have been received at this stage.
